The Webelos just returned from 3 days at Webelos Camp in Swoope at Camp Shenandoah. The boys did a great job! The first year Webelos each earned 4 activity badges toward their Webelos Badge and the second year guys got to shoot guns and use bows/arrows, went geocaching twice and worked on outdoor skills. Most of the boys even managed to take a shower at least once while there!

A bunch of scouts, parents and siblings had a fantastic time on a hike organized by Jon Ischinger to Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park. The group met and drove to SNP where they set out on two tracts -- the older kids ventured down the Dark Hollow Falls and around a 3 + mile hike. The younger kids walked just as much on the Nature Trail. Despite the weather forecast, the temps were actually in the 80s with no rain and low humidity. It was a perfect hike.

We need your help with the Activity requirements. We are asking that each Webelos I family sign up to help with or plan one Activity for den meeting this year.

Den 7 & 8 Bears will be going to tour WVPT Studios on Feb.10, 2011 @ 5:30pm. We will be visiting the Studios and Master Control of the station to see how Television works.
